Heavy metal fans can rejoice because the one and only Eddie Trunk, is returning to television. The TV and radio host is joining forces once again with AXS TV, giving viewers an inside look at what goes on during some of the country’s biggest music festivals. ‘Trunkfest’ is the ultimate eclectic music experience where the former “Reel To Real” host will provide an in-depth look at the bands, the cuisine, and the people who attend.
You’ll see footage from incredible events such as Sturgis, Kaaboo, Louder Than Life, and Voodoo Festival, among others. You can also expect plenty of interviews. George Thorogood, Rob Zombie, John 5, and Tom Morello are all joining in on the AXS fun. Even a sizzling celebrity chef experience is included; along with many more surprises.
In a recent press release, Trunk stated, “I’ve had a great experience working with the team at AXS TV in the past, and I look forward to working with them once again on this new series. I am truly psyched to take viewers on this epic journey, as we head across the U.S. to experience all of the elements that come together to make these festivals so memorable. I really think viewers are going to enjoy this wide-ranging look at not just the music, but the overall experiences that each festival has to offer.”
This next year holds some exciting things for the rock connoisseur. The new eight-episode music series, “Trunkfest with Eddie Trunk,” is produced in-house by AXS TV. Evan Haiman serves as executive producer and the series is produced by Stephen Stormer. The new show will be premiering in 2018 on AXS TV.
