EDEN drops new single and announces 2018 Vertigo World Tour in support of upcoming album

Rising pop sensation EDEN has struck gold once again. The Dublin-based artist released his new single "gold" and announced that he'll be hitting the road in 2018 in support of his upcoming album vertigo. The Vertigo World Tour will kick-off in March 2018 starting with US dates — including LA's Fonda and Denver's Bluebird — and then roll through select European cities. Tickets for the tour are on sale now and vertigo will be hitting shelves Jan. 19, 2018.

“Even when I’m writing, I don’t feel like I’m actually creating anything,” EDEN said in a release. “It’s more like I’m uncovering something that’s already there. Like how an archaeologist doesn’t create a fossil — they’re just finding it and uncovering it, and maybe rearranging it if it’s broken. Releasing this body of work is terrifying and exciting and overwhelming for me. A lot of it is so personal. This album is not a coming-of-age story, but it caused one.”

"gold" is the second single released from the upcoming album (check it out above). EDEN dropped vertigo's first single and music video, "start//end," back in September and it has already reached over a million views on YouTube. vertigo follows the release of EDEN's 2016 EP i think you think too much of me, which featured the lead single "sex." Lorde even reached out to EDEN on Facebook to offer her praise.

EDEN — otherwise known as Jonathan Ng — writes, plays, and produces all of his own music and even writes and records in his own bedroom. He's also a self-taught guitarist and pianist and plays multiple instruments onstage during his shows. Oh, and the music video for "start//end" that dropped a few months back? He totally directed, filmed, and edited the video himself. Do you need anymore reason to love him?
