EELS share upbeat powerpop anthem 'Today's the Day' (listen)

Who knew that after the vibey and contemplative “The Deconstruction,” EELS would release a song like “Today’s the Day,” an upbeat powerpop carpe diem anthem. The contrast of the new tracks only increases the anticipation for EELS’ first studio album in nearly four years. You can listen to “Today’s the Day” above or click here to check out “The Deconstruction.”

The Deconstruction comes out on April 6 and Mark Oliver Everett is set to take EELS out on the road in support of the album. The tour kicks off on May 28 in Pomona, Calif. and will hit major markets including Los Angeles, Seattle, New York and more. The tour wraps up in Washington DC on June 11. See below for a complete list of tour dates.

The Deconstruction is the follow up to 2014’s The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett. EELS also released a live double album, Live at the Royal Albert Hall in 2015.
