When Elle Winter is not off doing the TODAY Show or singing the National Anthem at a Yankee game, you’re likely to catch the 19-year-old singer-songwriter performing live on stage or walking the red carpet at an award show. Winter’s recent TODAY Show appearance as part of Elvis Duran’s Artist of the Month segment put a spotlight on her debut single, “One More,” quickly making the New York native one to watch.
Since the age of 12, Winter’s music has been regularly featured on Radio Disney. Her talents also landed her in front of the camera in movies including “3 Generations” (starring Naomi Watts, Elle Fanning, and Susan Sarandon) and the upcoming Netflix film, “The After Party,” which is set to premiere this summer. The recording artist is in good company, as the film also stars French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, and rapper Kyle.
Winter recently made her return to LA, where she played to a welcoming crowd and teased fans with a few unreleased songs. This past year, the artist has been working on a whole new body of music. As she explained to AXS at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards, her new work showcases her own stories and comes from a place of truth. Winter’s strong songwriting skills are definitely on display here, adding even more heart to her soulful sound.
What we can expect to hear is still very similar to what we know of Winter. The pop artist has always created in a way that makes other people feel. It allows them to connect with her which is something, Winter says, she aims to keep doing.
