Earlier this month, Norwegian metal band Enslaved released album number 14 with E, which is their first release with new keyboardist Hakon Vinje. With their last trek across North America taking place nearly two years ago, the band decided to make their return with the help of a popular metal magazine.
Today, it was announced that Enslaved will be headlining the 2018 installment of the Decibel Magazine tour. The trek begins on Feb. 15 in Philadelphia, and it will make its way to venues such as Royale in Boston on Feb. 17, Gothic Theatre in Englewood on Feb. 26, and The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on March 9.
For this tour, Enslaved will be joined by some strong supporting bands. Washington black metal band Wolves In The Throne Room will be trekking in support of their new album Thrice Woven, which was released on Artemisia Records. Back in May, Danish metal act Myrkur went viral with a video of her playing a Scandinavian folk song, which has gained over 12 million views. Last month, she released her sophomore studio album Mareridt. Colorado doom metal band Khemmis will release their third studio album through Nuclear Blast early next year. Regional openers will be revealed before the tour begins.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday (Oct. 27) at 10 a.m. local time.
