The ESL Pro League has officially announced that Dallas will be the home for their season seven finals. The event will take place at the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie in the heart of the DFW area. This event will see the crowning of the new champions with 16 teams competing for the title and the massive cash prize.
The event will be the ESL Pro League Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition and this is not the first time the champion will play for the title in Dallas. The fifth season also concluded in Dallas and thousands of fans attended the event. This year's winners will earn a large share of the $1 million prize.
The season seven finals will take place from May 18 to May 20, although the group stage takes place before that in a private setting. The main event itself in Dallas will feature the two quarter-finals, two semi-finals and grand finals games. Up to that point, online competitions will determine which 16 teams will travel to Dallas to fight for the money and championship title.
The event will also stream on Facebook thanks to a new partnership with the giant social media network. Previously, ESL brought the Dota 2 competition to Facebook streaming as well.
