Los Angeles Kings fans will now have the opportunity to listen to the Kings in Spanish on ESPN Deportes. Francisco Rivera and Nano Cortésset will make their broadcasting debut on Nov. 1 when the Kings host the Philadelphia Flyers at Staples Center (Tickets).

The game against the Flyers will be the first of 10 games broadcasted in Spanish by Rivera and Cortésset this season. Both have experience working with ESPN Deportes in the past. Rivera has covered soccer and Major League Baseball for the network, while  Cortésset worked as a reporter at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

The Kings have one player on their current roster who is of Spanish descent. Defenseman Alec Martinez has a Spanish paternal grandfather. In 11 games so far this season, Martinez has one goal and two assists for three points. His goal was the game-winning goal in the Kings' 4-3 win over the New York Rangers on Oct. 28.

One could argue that Martinez also scored the biggest game-winning goal in Kings franchise history, and ironically that goal also came against the Rangers. It came in the second overtime of game five of the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals, which won the Kings their second Stanley Cup in franchise history.
