Mother’s Day is a time to show appreciation to mothers, grandmothers, and women who have shaped your life. The day is traditionally enjoyed by family, enjoying togetherness, whether eating, listening to music, walking in the park, or just enjoying the spring weather. There will be several special Mother’s Day events in Dallas and Fort Worth in 2018.
Swiss Avenue Historic District Mother’s Day Home Tour 2018

Swiss Avenue Historic District, Parkmont and Swiss Ave., Dallas, TX 75214
Spend a day touring historic homes and shopping the arts and crafts on the Avenue and enjoying live entertainment in Savage Park. The Home Tour is an annual Springtime event that will feature eight of the city’s historic early 20th Century houses, vintage autos, an open-air art fair, a children’s play area, live entertainment, free horse-drawn carriage rides, food trucks, and more. This event will feature activities that will be enjoyed by children and adults. Tickets will be $25 in advance or $30 on the weekend of the event. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.
Mother’s Day Concert & Butterfly Release

The Women’s Chorus of Dallas will perform at a concert that will honor mothers and ancestors. The concert will end with an acapella song in the two-story Butterfly House, topped by a beautiful release of live butterflies. Tickets to the concert will be $10-$25, plus $10 for the Butterfly Release.
Family Zoo Adventure Garden Safari

The Dallas Zoo offers family-friendly entertainment every day, but this special event on Mother’s Day weekend will especially fun for families with youth between the ages of 4 and 12. Kids and adults will learn about wildlife while enjoying animal encounters, activities, and special zoo tours. Admission will be $12-$15.
Mimosa Run 2018

The 2018 Mimosa Run will be the 4th Annual Fort Worth Mimosa Run, a four-mile run or two-hour social which will benefit the Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas. The run will be followed by a Mimosa Brunch and will include music by local artists. The event is currently priced at $65-$70.
Mother’s Day High Tea

This special event will honor moms, grandmothers, aunts, daughters, sisters, and all the ladies who will delight in high tea in the Historic Rose Garden accompanied by live harp music. Wear hats, gloves, and pink outdoor attire to fit the theme. Tickets will be $35 for children 4-12 and $45 for adults.
Mother’s Day Memorial Butterfly Release

The entire family will reflect upon and remember loved ones who have shaped live at this memorial service with music and Butterfly Release. The afternoon of reflection will be free to attend.
