Celebrate New Year’s Eve by taking the family to ring in the new year at one of the festive events in Phoenix and Prescott, Arizona. Kids and adults will have fun bidding 2017 goodbye and greeting 2018 during a New Year’s Eve countdown.

Noon Year’s Eve

Children will ring in the new year in joyous fashion at this daytime event at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix. The event will feature music, dancing, sparkling apple cider, and a festive balloon drop in the atrium. Museum admission for this special event will be $5/Members or $15/Non-members.

Noon Year’s Eve at Phoenix Zoo

The Phoenix Zoo will host an Ice Age New Year’s Eve bash for kids of all ages. The party will feature 30 tons of snow, a Jurassic Bounce House, snowball targets, live music, dancing, games, and dino activities. There will be a countdown to a noon ball drop with cider or juice toasts to ring in the new year. All activities will be included with zoo admission.

New Year’s Eve at Main Event

Main Event in Tempe offers two New Year’s Eve Packages, the Daytime Package from 9 1.m.-5 p.m., and the Nighttime Package from 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Both packages offer “All You Can Play Activities,” including bowling, billiards, laser tag, and more. They also offer a choice of food, unlimited fountain drinks, and free gelato ice cream. Admission is $29.95-$44.95.

Whiskey Row Boot Drop

Whiskey Row will be transformed into a family-friendly street party that will attract 4,000 to 6,000 people. The night will include family-friendly entertainment, a huge Ferris wheel, music, food vendors, games, and fireworks. The six-foot-tall illuminated cowboy boot will descend down a 40-foot flagpole on The Palace Building at 10 p.m. and at midnight.

The Great Pinecone Drop

The Great Pinecone Drop is a New Year’s Eve tradition in Flagstaff, where revelers gather to see the 70-pound, six-foot, lighted aluminum creation. There will be two countdowns and pinecone drops on New Year’s Eve. The 10 p.m. drop will coincide with the famous ball drop in New York’s Times Square. The second drop will be at midnight to ring in the new year. The Great Pinecone Drop will be free to attend. Public transportation is encouraged.

CitySkate Holiday Ice Rink

Kids and adults will enjoy ice skating into the new year at CitySkate. Tickets will be $10- $15/Person and will include skate rental.  

Ice Skating at Tim’s Toyota Center

The entire family will have fun ice skating at Tim’s Toyota Center for fun and exercise for the new year. Skating sessions are generally two hours long. Admission will be $2.50-$3.50/person and skates rental costs $4.
