Celebrate New Year’s Eve at one of the family-friendly events in the Tampa Bay area as 2017 turns into 2018. Take the family to have fun on the beach, go to the Outback Bowl Parade, to First Night in St. Petersburg, and to enjoy fireworks to ring in the New Year.

Outback Bowl New Year’s Eve Parade

The Outback Bowl New Year’s Eve Parade and pep rally in Ybor City will be a free, family-friendly event. The parade, which will include about 20 marching bands, will march along 7th Avenue.

First Night St. Petersburg

First Night St. Petersburg will be Florida’s largest New Year’s Eve Celebration of the Arts. This will be the silver anniversary of the family-friendly celebration in St. Pete. Ring in the New Year with entertainment, music, games, drama, comedy, dance, lights, fires, and creative fun. There will be two shows of fireworks at Spa Beach Park on the Pier Approach, an early show at 8 p.m. and the second show at midnight, to greet 2018. Admission buttons will be $5-$12 in advance and $10-$15 after Dec. 29.

New Year’s Eve Celebration at Busch Gardens

Ring in the New Year at the celebration at Busch Gardens, enjoying the thrill rides and jamming to the music throughout the park. There will be a park-wide countdown and fireworks show in Gwazi Park at midnight. The park will be open until 1 a.m. so you can have a thrilling beginning to 2018.  Admission to the New Year’s Eve Celebration will be included with paid admission to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Light It Up – NYE Fireworks Celebration on Clearwater Beach

Ring in the New Year by experiencing the excitement of fireworks at Clearwater Beach. Plan to arrive early to play in the sand, watch a sunset, and then ring in the New Year. The family-friendly fireworks show will be presented by the Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Lights of Lake Park

The entire family will enjoy the holiday light show at Lake Park Estates. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Suncoast Hospice in Clearwater.

Holiday Lights in the Garden

Holiday Lights in the Garden in Pinellas County features more one million brilliant LED lights and a synchronized light display, where the lights dance to holiday music. The suggested donation is $4/person.
