The holiday season will be celebrated with family-friendly events in Las Vegas in 2017. Kids of all ages will enjoy the festive attractions, colorful decorations, sparkling lights, Christmas music, holiday entertainment, and visits with Santa Claus at this popular vacation destination.

The Fountains of Bellagio Las Vegas

The Bellagio Fountains will dance to the music of holiday music, including the “Hallelujah Chorus,” “O Holy Night,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” and “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” The family will be enchanted by this beautiful free attraction.

Rock Rink

The Rock Rink in Downtown Summerlin will offer the fun of ice skating around the 40-ft. holiday tree while listening to joyful holiday music. Tickets are $15. 

Snow in the Square and Photos with Santa

The holiday season will be festive at Town Square, where magical snow flurries will fall on the square to the sound of holiday music. Santa Claus will be at the square, but he will be a busy guy so call ahead and make reservations for photos.

The Christmas tree at the Ice Rink at Cosmopolitan will feature host Olympic skating champion, Kristi Yamaguchi. The rink will be open throughout the holiday season for fun and entertainment.  All-day skating at the rink is $20, including skate rentals. Admission to the winter atmosphere surrounding the rink is free.

Downtown Summerlin Holiday Parade

Green Valley Ranch will open their first Winter Village, featuring family-friendly fun for the holidays. Take the family to Winter Village for ice skating, holiday treats, and Santa Claus weekends. Movie Mondays will feature holiday movies the whole family will enjoy.

Las Vegas Christmas Town hosted by Wet ‘n’ Wild

Holiday at the Park

Las Vegas Great Santa Run – 2017

The annual Las Vegas Great Santa Run attracts thousands of participants, running and walking through downtown Las Vegas for fun, fitness, and a great cause. Register ($45) to run in the event and you will be set up with a full Santa suit, a medal, and the memorable opportunity to join in the largest gathering of Santas in the world. The run is an important fundraiser for Opportunity Village, a not-for-profit organization serving adults with intellectual disabilities.

Santa in the Shipwreck

Santa Claus and his friend Santa Jaws will be at Mandalay Bay before swimming to the North Pole every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas Eve. Your family will get a free photo with Santa with paid child admission. Santa will scuba dive at Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef every afternoon at 4 p.m. Admission is $19-$25, free for children 3 and under.

Cowboy Christmas

Take the family to Cowboy Christmas to see the rugged rodeo skills of the great west. The 10-day event has been running for more than 30 years and reminds guests that Las Vegas is an authentic Old West town of origin.  The rodeo will feature shows of bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, and more. Admission is free.  Vendors will be selling cowboy and cowgirl gear, which will make great gifts or mementos.
