The Renova Ice Rink @ The River

Take the family ice skating at Renova Ice Rink @ The River at Rancho Mirage. Gliding across the ice in Southern California will be an invigorating experience for children and adults.  Admission is $15 for all-day skating.

25th Annual WildLIghts

The Living Desert Zoo, 47900 Portola Ave., Palm Desert, CA 92260

The Living Desert Zoo present the Silver Anniversary of their holiday event WildLights. The zoo is transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland on select nights through Christmas Eve. Take the family to see over a million holiday lights, Santa Claus and his reindeer, animal lanterns, and the stroll-through tunnel of lights. Admission is $10/adults, $8/children and Military with ID, and free for children under three.

Robolights

Robolights offers some unusual twists on the holiday season, including art that has been created using discarded and recycled items. There are “no parking” signs posted in the neighborhood, so the artist recommends parking at Ruth Hardy Park and taking the short walk to see the holiday display. Suggested donation $5.

La Quinta Resort Holidays

The La Quinta Resort is transformed for “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” during the holiday season. The resort is decorated in a quaint style, not unlike Bedford Falls in the classic movie It’s a Wonderful Life and displays a spectacular holiday tree.  Seasonal activities include chestnut roasting, dessert demo in lollipops, arts & crafts, holiday movie screenings, and Breakfast with Santa. La Quinta is a Waldorf-Astoria Resort.

Downtown Revitalization Free Concert & Fireworks Spectacular

The City of Palm Springs and the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with P.S. Resorts, will host a ribbon cutting and time capsule dedication in honor of the Downtown revitalization public improvements. The evening of free entertainment will include music by well-known Coachella bands. The festivities will include a 30-minute show of fireworks at 7:30 p.m. This special event will be part of the Thursday night Village Fest
