It's high time New York City's FarmBorough music festival (their first-ever country-centric undertaking) reveals the lineup for its second year. After last summer's impressive turnout (over 40,000 concertgoers in three days), the two-stage event returns June 17-19 on Randall's Island Park with even more superstar talent. Tim McGraw, Toby Keith and Jason Aldean will headline, with Kacey Musgraves, Brooks & Dunn and Eric Paslay also performing.
Additional performers expected are Brantley Gilbert, Thomas Rhett, A Thousand Horses, Billy Currington, Lonestar and David Nail. More to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Festival passes go on sale next Friday (Jan. 29) at 10 am EST.
“Since the gates closed on FarmBorough last year we’ve been working towards today and how to come back even stronger than FarmBorough’s first year,” Brian O’Connell, Live Nation President of Country Touring, shares in a statement issued Wednesday (Jan. 20). “Having the heavyweight power of such huge and distinct names as well artists that I think will be the genre’s next big superstars on the bill helps ease the pressure a little bit of putting on a festival in the greatest city in the world. I can’t wait to get back out there and continue to make our mark on the Big Apple.”
Jordan Wolowitz, co-founder and Partner at Founders Entertainment, chimes in, "We made history last year by launching New York City's first ever major Country Music Festival. The amazing lineup for FarmBorough 2016 speaks for itself, and we can't wait to show everyone what's in store for June. It's gonna be awesome."
Last summer's festival included performers Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Wade Bowen, Brandy Clark, Maddie & Tae, Kip Moore, Ashley Monroe, Randy Houser, the Cadillac Three and Dwight Yoakam.
