Father John Misty captivates the crowd at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles

Since the middle of April, Father John Misty has been on the road supporting his latest album Pure Comedy, and his U.S. leg came to a close this past weekend in California. Before his last show at Fox Theatre Pomona, Josh Tillman (Father John's real name) stopped in Los Angeles at the majestic Greek Theatre, where he played a 24-song set.

Taking the stage at around 8:45 pm after Natalie Mering, aka Weyes Blood, opened for the crowd on a perfect L.A. night, fans filled the seats at The Greek and settled in for what was not only an entertaining experience—but a somewhat spiritual one as well. Opening up with "Pure Comedy" from the album of the same name, immediately it was known that FJM was going to wow the crowd—and he did throughout his entire set.

He continued on with songs off of his new album like "Total Entertainment Forever," "Ballad of a Dying Man" and "The Memo," he closed out his set with the classic FJM tune "I Love You Honeybear" before heading into a five-song encore. He closed out his second to last night of the U.S. tour with "The Ideal Husband," off of his 2015 release.

Father John may be done in the U.S., but the singer, songwriter and guitarist will soon head to U.K. for the same tour. Grab tickets right here on AXS.
