Last week, the folks at New York Comic Con decided to deliver the first slew of entertainment guests slated to come to the convention, including Star Trek actor William Shatner. While many fans were excited about finally getting some guests on the lineup, some comic book lovers were left high and dry. Fortunately, they got their wish with a massive announcement.

On Tuesday, New York Comic Con revealed the first names in the comic book industry set to appear. The biggest name announced is comic writer Scott Snyder, who is best known for his work in American Vampire, Batman and Swamp Thing. Over the years, the New York native has won numerous awards, including the 2012 Stan Lee Award for Man of the Year. Daredevil illustrator Alex Maleev, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl artist Erica Henderson, The Amazing Spider-Man penciller Humberto Ramos, Jem and The Holograms artist Jen Bartel, Grrl Scouts creator Jim Mahfood, Check, Please! creator Ngozi Ukazu, and Lucky Penny creators Yuko Ota and Ananth Hirsch will join Snyder at Artist Alley on all four days.

Today, folks that registered for fan verification received emails with the exact time and date tickets will go on sale. You can follow New York Comic Con on Facebook and Twitter for all updates. The convention will arrive at the Javits Center from Oct. 5 through Oct. 8.
