The annual Jeep on the Rocks concert is taking place again this year at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. The headliners for this year's show is none other than Fitz & the Tantrums, with Moon Taxi serving as their opening act. The Jeep on the Rocks concert takes place this year on Oct. 6.
According to reports, Fitz & the Tantrums will be a co-headliner and the second act will be named at a later date. The event is an interesting one where anyone who owns a Jeep can park in the VIP areas at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Last years headliner was Weezer.
Fitz & the Tantrums is a Los Angeles indie pop band that got their start in 2008. They released their debut studio album Pickin' Up the Pieces in 2010 and were an instant success, with the album hitting number one on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. It was "MoneyGrabber" that attracted the most attention, a gold-certified single.
In 2013, the band released More than Just a Dream and watched two singles that reached platinum status in "Out of My League" and "The Walker." Their third album Fitz and the Tantrums was their biggest success in 2016, hitting 17th on the Billboard 200 with the double-platinum single "HandClap."
