Beginning in October, Celtic punk band Flogging Molly will begin touring North America. As noted by Brooklyn Vegan, the band announced that they will be play shows in Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Philadelphia’s own Electric Factory. Tickets for these shows go on sale Aug. 4.
Flogging Molly’s Life Is Good tour will also include some very special supporting acts. Alternative rock singer-songwriter Jon Snodgrass will be opening for the band that all of their currently announced shows and punk rockers Anti-Flag will be joining the tour beginning with the group’s Oct. 27 performance.
The group is hitting the road for a second time this year in support of their recently released sixth studio album Life Is Good, which has to be a huge relief for the septet’s fans. Until the run up for the release of their most recent record, Flogging Molly had maintained a relatively low profile in recent years. The band’s most recent previous release, 2011’s Speed of Darkness, was the only record they’ve put out in the 2010s. Thankfully, with one new album and two tours in the same year, it appears that Flogging Molly is back for good.
