Foo Fighters have announced details on the opening acts for their upcoming second round of North American tour dates. Several artists will support the legendary Seattle alt-rockers between July and October, including The Joy Formidable on September shows and Gang of Youths on October dates.
The 11-time Grammy winners posted the list on June 14 via Facebook. Apart from a pair of festival appearances in Canada, as well as dates in Boston and Chicago, The Struts will be the primary opening act for the “Everlong” hitmakers throughout the month of July with some shows featuring more than one guest artist.
Other openers on select dates during the summer and fall trek include: The Beaches, The Monsieurs, Dinosaur Jr., Speedy Ortiz, Melkbelly and Touched by Gohu. The tour is in continued support of Foo Fighter's chart-topping studio album Concrete and Gold, which dropped Sept. 15, 2017 via RCA/Roswell.
Foo Fighters wrapped up their opening 2018 U.S. spring leg on May 4 in Nashville. The multi-platinum sellers are currently touring Europe and the U.K. and will perform their next live date on June 14 in Florence, Italy, at Ippodromo delle Cascine with the overseas trek wrapping up with a massive two-night stand June 22 – June 23 in London at London Stadium.
Dave Grohl and company will return home to launch their summer North American run on July 6 in Columbia, Md., at Merriweather Post Pavilion with the Concrete and Gold Tour currently slated to wrap up Oct. 18 in St. Paul, Minnesota at Excel Energy Center. Get your Foo Fighters tickets now at AXS.
