With their new album Concrete and Gold releasing Sept. 15, Foo Fighters have been sharing tracks off the record with fans both online with videos and live in concert. Now, they have released a new track “The Line.” This is the third single from Concrete and Gold, which first stirred a buzz when the breakout debut single “Run” made it to No.1 on the Billboard mainstream rock charts.
“The Line” is described by Grohl as "a search for hope in this day and age where you feel as if you're fighting for your life with every passing moment, and everything is on the line."
Concrete and Gold will feature contributions from Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men. This album is the band’s first since 2014’s Sonic Highways and follows their 2015 EP Saint Cecilia which was released as a free download on November 23, 2015 as a token of appreciation to fans.
The Foos are headed out on their North American tour on Oct. 14 in Richmond, Va. and will join Weezer for a joint tour of Oceania in January.
Keep up with all things Foo Fighters on AXS.
