The calendar may say fall, but rock fest producers are already thinking spring, as Welcome To Rockville announced the Foo Fighters to headline in 2018.
The eighth annual event kicks off the World’s Loudest Month concert series. According to a statement from organizers, Welcome To Rockville's full lineup will be announced Nov. 6 (see last year’s lineup here).
What’s more, the rock fest grows from two to three days in 2018. Slated for April 27-29 at Metropolitan Park, in Jacksonville, Fla., Rockville is touted as the Sunshine State’s biggest rock experience.
“Next year’s Rockville promises to be the biggest rock weekend Florida has ever seen, and Foo Fighters are only the beginning,” says festival producer Danny Wimmer.
Meanwhile, the Foo Fighters dropped their ninth album Concrete and Gold last month. Since releasing their self-titled debut album 22 years ago, the band - Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee - has won 11 Grammy Awards.
Additional details on next year’s World's Loudest Month festival series will be announced soon, say organizers. World’s Loudest Month also includes Carolina Rebellion, Rocklahoma, Northern Invasion, and others.
