Forest Hills

Live music and dancing will return to Forest Hills Stadium in the Queens borough of New York City this summer. The famous outdoor venue announced its first show of the 2018 season on Wednesday morning, which will be an impressive double billing of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and The Head and The Heart on Saturday, June 9. Tickets for the concert will be going on sale starting next Friday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. EST, and can be purchased by clicking here.

Since undergoing a much-needed renovation in early 2014, Forest Hills has reclaimed its place as one of, if not the premier outdoor concert venue in the New York metro area. Its 2017 season saw fantastic performances from artists including Chance The Rapper, My Morning Jacket, Daryl Hall & John Oates, The Chainsmokers and The xx just to name a few. Last summer also saw what would be Tom Petty’s final two New York City concerts when he and The Heartbreakers took the Forest Hills stage back on July 26 and 27.

Over the last four years, the venue’s annual summer calendar featured some of the biggest names in music throwing parties for music fans in New York City. Dolly Parton, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, James Taylor and Santana have all headlined the picturesque venue since it reopened its doors for concerts in 2014. Many classic rock fans will remember that Forest Hills was the location for many great events back in the 1960s including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Frank Sinatra.

Forest Hills Stadium sits conveniently right along one of the stops on New York’s E, F, M and R subway lines, and provides a great option for artists who are looking to perform in New York City under the stars. Fans looking to attend one of the many shows that will once again take place at the outdoor venue in 2018 can click here to see a listing of food, nightlife and family-friendly options for having fun in the area, aside from the music.
