Former 'The Voice' semifinalist Amy Vachal to perform at Hotel Cafe

Amy Vachal, who was a semifinalist during Season 9 of "The Voice", is returning to Los Angeles's Hotel Cafe for another live performance on Tuesday, June 6 at 8 p.m. as the venue continues to attract more performers from the Emmy Award-winning singing competition.

The New York-based singer and songwriter became a fan favorite on "The Voice" for her ability to put a classic spin on modern pop hits. She performed covers of Drake's "Hotline Bling", Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" (which you can listen to by using the media player included with this article) and N'Sync's "Bye Bye Bye" that all reached the Top 10 on the iTunes Singles Chart. A fourth cover, of Bob Dylan's "To Make You Feel My Love", was also a Top 10 hit on iTunes but did not garner Vachal enough of the public vote, and she was eliminated in the Top 9 round.

Vachal's current single "Wait" is her first release since appearing on the reality show in fall 2015. Presumably it will be part of her set at Hotel Cafe along with more original music as she announced plans to complete her first full-length album shortly after her journey on "The Voice" ended that December. It will be her second performance at the venue since February 2016.

Fans of the singing competition should keep an eye on Hotel Cafe, which has long been welcoming to alumni from "The Voice" particularly in the last few months. On April 18, Season 2 finalist Tony Lucca returned to the venue with his group TFDI. Other "Voice" artists on the recent Hotel Cafe calendar include Dia Frampton, Emily Keener, Luke Wade, and Taylor John Williams. That makes the Hollywood hotspot an excellent place to see favorites from the show live and performing their own original material. Amy Vachal will add her name to that list again in June, so don't miss the chance to hear her first new music since she was a member of Team Pharrell and Team Adam.

Tickets for Amy Vachal at Hotel Cafe are $15 plus a $3 venue service charge, and are available now through the venue's website. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with an as yet to be announced opening act performing at 7 p.m. before Vachal takes the stage at 8 p.m. Fans should note that Hotel Cafe requires all patrons to be 21 years of age and older.
