Frank Ocean actually releases music, has another album coming this weekend
Apple Music

Is this it? Have we finally arrived? Is this the weekend that we finally receive Frank Ocean’s fabled, long-delayed sophomore studio album? That seems to be the case, sort of. We’re long past the point of believing any news about Frank Ocean these days. But at the very least, last night, the singer delivered the huddling Ocean-less masses something, as he shared a “visual album,” Endless, via Apple Music.

The 45-minute black-and-white video transports us back to the mysterious craft shop from Ocean’s live stream a couple of weeks ago. Instead of a dude pissing about with wood that viewers watched on the live stream, Endless details a few men in the process of building what turns out to be a staircase. Most importantly, though, is the new music that accompanies the video. The 18-track album features contributions from James Blake, Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, Sampha, Alex G, and more.

As Rolling Stone tells it, this isn’t the only album that Ocean has in his pocket, reporting that he has another album set for release this weekend, the long-awaited Boys Don’t Cry. Except now, it’s not titled Boys Don’t Cry, and that Ocean has chosen a new name. Two Frank Ocean albums in the span of a few days (supposedly.) We shudder to think how long it will take to get his third studio album. Check out the full tracklist below. Watch Endless here.
