Celebrate the 4th of July 4 at one of the many festivities planned in Minneapolis/St. Paul and the Twin Cities area in 2018. Kids and adults will have a great time enjoying the summer events and activities in honor of Independence Day.

Red, White & Boom
July 3 @ 6 p.m.

Red, White & Boom, hosted by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, is an annual 4th of July celebration that draws a crowd of more than 75,000 people.  Kids and adults will enjoy the free entertainment, live music, and family-friendly activities in downtown Minneapolis. The fireworks spectacular will be the grand finale of the event

Apple Valley Freedom Days will offer family-friendly activities, including a car show, music, entertainment, J & K Amusements Carnival, the Freedom Day Parade, and fireworks. The 20th Annual Dancin’ and Cruisin’’ Classic Car Show will be at the Apple Valley American Legion 1776 on June 29 @ 5 p.m. The Apple Valley Freedom Days Parade will be on July 4 and will kick off at 1 p.m. at Fireside Lane and Pennock Ave. There will be a Family Leisure Pre-Fireworks Party on July 4 a 6 p.m., followed by a fireworks spectacular at 10 p.m.

Summer Fete in Bloomington

The entire family can ring in Independence Day at the Summer Fete, which will feature two stages of entertainment: the Main Stage and the Kid’s Stage. The 84th Street region will feature a Kids’ Carnival area with inflatable attractions. Tickets for the carnival can be purchased by the ticket or by a wristband. The fantastic fireworks display will illuminate the skies just after dusk.

Chanhassen 4th of July Celebration

Chanhassen’s celebration will open on July 2 with Family Night at the Carnival, with pony rides and special prices for carnival rides.  There will be several family-friendly activities in Chanhassen on July 3-4 including the Rotary Beer and Wine Garden, live music, carnival rides, petting zoo, entertainment, games, and more. The Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball Clinic on July 3 will run from 9 a.m. – noon. The Classic Car Show, Taste of Chanhassen, and fishing contests will be held on July 4. The 4th of July Parade, presented by the Rotary, will step off at 2:30 p.m. The fireworks show will illuminate the skies over Lake Ann Park on July 4 starting at 10 p.m. 

Eden Prairie 4th of July Hometown Celebration

The celebration will begin on July 3, with bingo and live music at Round Lake Park. On July 4, there will be a full day of family-friendly activities, including games, beach activities, canoeing and paddle-boarding, bingo, BMX demonstrations, bingo, karaoke contest, live music, and more. The sparkling fireworks display will start at 10 p.m.

Eagan Funfest

The festivities will include a carnival, live music, games, nightly entertainment, and more. The fireworks display on July 4 will light up the skies starting at 10 p.m.

Lake Minnetonka 4th of July Celebration

The Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce will host a day of family-friendly activities in honor of Independence Day. The day of fun will start with the Firecracker Race and will include a petting zoo and the Water Street Kids' Parade at 11 a.m. The National Anthem performed by the 34th infantry Red Bull Band at 9:55 p.m., followed by the fireworks spectacular.

Richfield Red White & Blue Days

Red White & Blues Days will offer three days of family-friendly activities, starting with a Kiddie Parade on July 2 @ 5:30 p.m. The festivities on July 3 will include the 18th Annual Car Show, street fair, silent auction, comedy hour, and street dance. The July 4 Wreath Laying Memorial to honor Veterans will be at Veterans Park at 10 a.m. The parade on 70th Street will be a 1:15 p.m. The Food Trucks and Beer Garden will sell food and refreshments. Entertainment will include Prime 6 Wrestling and live music.  Richfield will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for “Most People lighting a glow stick simultaneously” at 9:45 p.m. The fireworks spectacular will be at 10 p.m.

Rosefest 2018 July 4 Party in the Park

The entire family will have fun in Roseville, where the day’s events will include carnival activities, live music, and food vendors. The fireworks will light up the skies over Bennett Lake at 10 p.m.

Independence Day Celebration in Stillwater
July 4 @ 10 p.m.
Pioneer Park and Lowell Park, Stillwater, MN 55082

The fireworks spectacular over the beautiful St. Croix River will begin at about 10 p.m. There will be live music at Pioneer Park before the fireworks show.

Manitou Days
June 14-July 4 @ varies.
White Bear Lake, MN 55110

Manitou Days offers three weeks of family-friendly events in White Bear Lake. The final day will be on July 4, when the events will include a concert at 8:30 p.m,, a flyover with T-6 airplanes, and a spectacular fireworks finale over White Bear Lake.

Independence Day Celebration

Commemorate America’s birthday at Historic Fort Snelling, where events will include reenactments honoring the struggles for freedom experienced over 200 years ago. The day will include a morning parade, infantry parade and musket firing, fife and drum performances, mock battles, cannon salutes, and more. Admission will be $6-$12, free for children aged 4 and under.
