Mother's Day is this weekend and the city of Indianapolis is ready for the holiday. Over the next few days, there are a number of great Mother's Day-themed events taking place in the area. Many of these are free and open to all. Here are just a few options.
All About the Ladies: Shopping Extravaganza

Typay Essential Beauty is presenting a free shopping event called "All About the Ladies: a Pre-Mother's Day Affair" at the Warren Public Library on May 13. The event will feature a number of shopping deals on a variety of local products from handcrafted jewelry to clothing. Come out and support the local businesses and perhaps find that perfect Mother's Day gift.
Concerts on the Central Green Series: Zach Day

City Hall, 1 Municipal Drive, Fishers, IN 46038
Head out to City Hall for a free lunchtime concert. The "Concerts on the Central Green Series" on May 10 will feature a performance from Zach Day, whose music is a blend of rock, funk, blues and soul. The concert series runs every Wednesday through October.
Fishers Farmers' Market

The Fishers Farmers' Market is open for everyone to enjoy for free on Saturday mornings. The market features over 55 local vendors featuring a little something for everyone. Come out for seasonal goodies, fresh produce, plant products and handcrafted items. There will also be live entertainment and cooking demonstrations that the whole family will enjoy.
Mother's Day Cards

Kids are invited out to the Eagle Branch Library tomorrow for a free Mother's Day card making event. Come out and join Miss Roberts to make the perfect card for mom made from recycled greeting cards. All of the supplies will be provided.
My Mother-My Sister

Roaring Fire Ministries will be presenting a free women's conference called "My Mother-My Sister." The event will be a morning of prayer and a time of bonding for all mothers and daughters. Light refreshments will be served.
