150th Anniversary Memorial Day Commemoration

The 150th Memorial Day Observance will honor the sacrifices of the one million Americans killed while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Flag will be raised at Pershing Square at 9:30 a.m. The Grand March (10:30 a.m.) will be a community processional from the Presidio Officers’ Club to the San Francisco National Cemetery. The 150th Annual Ceremony at the San Francisco National Cemetery will be at 11 a.m. At noon, there will be a community picnic with games and music. Food will be available for purchase.
Memorial Day in Santa Cruz

The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, along with local military groups and veterans organizations, will commemorate Santa Cru’s 151st Memorial Day. There will also be a Pop-Up Museum that will honor people who have served in the military.

The 40th Annual Carnaval San Francisco will be celebrated in the Mission District on Memorial Day Weekend. Admission to the festival and parade will be free.
