St. Patrick’s Day will be celebrated with parades and family-friendly Irish events in Baltimore, MD and in other cities in Maryland. The entire family will enjoy at the festive gatherings as winter turns to spring in 2018.

St. Patrick Parade
March 11 @ 2 p.m.
Washington Monument, Baltimore, MD 21201

The parade will be a joyful, family-friendly event featuring marching bands, music, community, and a celebration of Irish tradition. Baltimore’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been delighting spectators for more than 60 years. Thousands of spectators crowd the streets and sidewalks of downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor to watch the spectacle. Baltimore’s St. Patrick Parade will step off at the Washington Monument and head sought on Charles Street, east on Pratt Street to Market Place. The Shamrock 5K Race will take place immediately before the parade, so organizers recommend getting downtown before the start of the race to get a good parking and viewing spot.

Annapolis Irish Weekend and Parade

The annual Annapolis St. Patrick’s Parade will be on March 11 @ 1 p.m. during this celebration of Irish tradition. Each year, the Annapolis St. Patrick’s Parade benefits local charities. Warrior Events will be the official beneficiaries of the 2018 parade, according to Naptown Events.

Downtown Westminster Irish Celebration

There will be an Irish Celebration in historic downtown Westminster with live music, vendors Celtic demonstrations, and fun activities for kids.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The City of Gaithersburg and the Harp and Shamrock Society will host the18th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, featuring a pipe band, marching band, animals, music, and family-friendly fun.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Chesapeake City

Chesapeake City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be a family-friendly event with music, floats, high school bands, and more. There will be music and fun at Pell Gardens after the parade.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival – Ocean City

The Ocean City St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at noon and travel Coastal Hwy. from 60th St. to 45th St. Take the family to enjoy the parade and the Irish American festival featuring food, drink, and fun.

2018 Shamrock 5K Race

The 2018 Shamrock 5K Race will be held on the same day as the St. Patrick Parade, before the parade, and will proceed along much of the same route. Registration is currently $45.

Celebrate the New Zoo Season at Zoo Bloom and Farm Day

Spring is coming and the Maryland Zoo will hold the first big event of the new Zoo season to celebrate. The Zoo will feature a full schedule of animal enrichment, which means the animals will get special treats. Guests will also get free treats from Charm City Cakes or a cookie. Mascot Sphen the penguin, a new giraffe mascot, and live animal ambassadors will entertain guests at Schaefer Place. The family will learn about the animals that live on farms and enjoy kid-friendly activities.  All activities will be included with zoo admission.
