Independence Day will be celebrated with parades, fireworks, and family-friendly events in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 4th of July holiday will be observed with community gatherings, many offering free activities and family fun. The following are events which will be free to attend for the Fourth of July.

Celebrate America Pittsburgh
July 4 @ 12 p.m.
Point State Park, Pittsburgh, PA

Celebrate America will feature family fun and entertainment starting at noon with a flag raising ceremony. The day will include live music, patriotic activities, Kids Zone activities, and food vendors. Pittsburgh favorite Jeff Jimerson will sing the National Anthem as the United States Air Force does a flyover above Point State Park at 6 p.m. The EQT Flashes of Freedom Fireworks show will begin at 9:35 p.m.

Zelienople 4th of July
July 4  @ 8 a.m.
Borough of Zelienople, PA 16063

There will be a full day of activities in the Borough of Zelienople, including the Firecracker 5K Charity Run at 8 a.m. and the  4th of July Parade on Main Street at 11 a.m. The Derby Duck Race and family activities at Zelienople Community Park Pool will start at  1:50 p.m. There will be a full symphony concert featuring the Pittsburgh Philharmonic Orchestra at Zelienople Community Park at 8:15 p.m. The 4th of July Fireworks will follow the concert at dusk.
 
50th Anniversary Independence Day Celebration at Moon Park

The family-friendly activities at Moon Park will include Community Days on July 2 and the Battle of the Bands on July 3. The Annual 4th of July Celebration on July 4 will features family-fun, games, and  music. The fireworks show will begin at about 10 p.m.

Fourth of July Celebration

Brentwood Borough, Brentwood, PA 15227

The Brentwood Business Owners Association will hold a street fair in the Brownsville Road corridor on July 3. The day will include music and games. The local volunteer fire companies will play tug-of-war. On July 4, the Firecracker 5K will be at 9 a.m. The Parade on Brownsville Road and patriotic flyover to honor veterans will begin at 10 a.m.  The fireworks display will cap off the day of fun with a spectacular show.

Community Day
July 4
Kiwanis Park, Meyer Road, Shaler Township, PA 15116

Community Day will include children’s activities, food vendors, D.J. music, fire truck rides, and community tent. Crawford Pool will be open from noon to 5 p.m. There will be live music from the bands Tobacco Road and Uptown Rhythm & Brass Band. The fireworks show will begin at 9:15 p.m.

July 4th celebration in Mt. Lebanon

Mt Lebanon Main Park, 900 Cedar Blvd., Mt. Lebanon, PA 15228

Mt. Lebanon will present a day of family fun, live music, games, food, and activities. The Mt. Lebanon Outdoor Swim Center will be open from noon – 7 p.m. The fireworks show will be a 9:30 p.m.

Fish for Free Day

July 4 will be Fish-for-Free Day in Pennsylvania, which means that anyone can fish without a fishing license, residents and non-residents alike.
