Carolina Rebellion is readying for lift-off, after last week’s launch of the World’s Loudest Month concert series.
Whether you're a vet of the raucous three-day rager or a noob, tackling the Rebellion beast isn’t always a simple feat. But no need to fret my rock-n-roll pets, this is where your friends at AXS.com come in. From food to fandom and everything in between, we’ve got tips and tricks to help you rock the fest – because that’s how we roll. So pack your bags and climb aboard for the next stop: musical nirvana (OK, it’s really Rock City Campgrounds at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but whatever.) First question!
Which bands are headlining?
You did buy tickets for the eighth annual Carolina Rebellion and already called-in sick to work for Friday, right?
Well yeah, but there was this thing….
Hang on, let me get a pen and piece of paper - so what other bands are playing and when?
No need to jot it all down, just check out our awesome guide with the official Carolina Rebellion set times and locations, here. More than 60 bands – including Stone Sour, Trivium, Butcher Babies, The Fever 333, Parkway Drive, Breaking Benjamin, Hatebreed, Texas Hippie Coalition, and others – will play across four stages, day and night. Next question!
It’s my first Carolina Rebellion, what are some tips?
Welcome to the fest, you’re about to make 90,000 new friends! So here’s what you need to know: Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! You can bring in one sealed bottle of water (24-ounce max), and there’s refilling station on the festival grounds.
Cool, beer has water in it!
Not so fast, booze will dehydrate you. Throw in full days of North Carolina heat and sun and you could find yourself passed out before your favorite set starts (trust us, we’ve seen it.)
Got it – drink plenty of water. What else?
Bring sunscreen – remember that Carolina sun? – and cash to avoid the ATM fees. Locker rentals are available to stow your stuff and charge your cell phones - take a look here for rental details, allowed items, and more. Anything else?
Some friends in our group are vegan, what’s the situation with food vendors?
Carolina Rebellion’s food options will have everyone covered. From veggie tacos, wood-fired pizzas and gluten-free options to BBQ, burgers and bacon, Rebellion’s Pig Out Village just may make you squeal - along with the glazed donuts. VIP areas have additional food vendors, too.
What’s up with parking? And what else is happening at the festival?
