I can get a tattoo at Tattoo Masquerade®, right?
You can get a whole bunch of tattoos! With nearly 100 artists from over 80 cities heading to Denver for the event, Tattoo Masquerade® is the best place to get a new piece (or three).
Do I need to make an appointment to get a tattoo?
Great question. There are two ways to get inked up at the event: Visit the Tattoo Masquerade® website to browse the gallery of attending artists and book your session. Or, if you’re more the wait-and-see type, you can come to the event and check with the artists to see if they’re available for walk-up clients.
Are you giving out free tattoos?
Wait, is this a serious question?
No, I’m just kidding, that would be crazy...right?
Right. Tattoo Masquerade® is an affordable event that brings together some of the best artists in the industry, but you still have to pay them for their work. Prices vary depending on the artist and the size of the piece.
I’m 15-years-old and ready for my first tat….
Let me just stop you right there. To get a tattoo, you must be 18 years of age with valid ID. Come back in 2020, kid.
I love tattooing for the art but my Jewish faith prevents me from marking my body. Can I just come for the art?
Shalom, brother and yes, absolutely! Beyond watching the talented tattooists paint on their flesh canvasses, actual painters and other artists will be onsite on the live art floor.
That’s dope, what kind of art will be featured?
Pretty much everything you could imagine: Painting, jewelry-making, dreamcatcher weaving, hoola-hoop making, apothecary goods, henna arts, face painting, body painting, and more. Not only can you watch the artists create their works in person, but you can buy art on site and take it home.
I’m getting a tattoo but I might need some healing afterward. Can you help with that?
Oh heal yes! (Sorry, had to). From local apothecaries with organic healing balms to holistic treatments to crystal beds, there will be more healers onsite than an Australian Cattle Dog convention.
I’m flush with cash and eager to spend it! What can I buy at Tattoo Masquerade®?
First off, congrats on being so #Blessed. Secondly, so, so much stuff. Beyond jewelry, clothes and related merch, there will be some very cool and unique vendors on hand, including Werks 3D, who will do a full body scan and 3D print out a figurine made in your exact likeness.
That sounds cool af. Kind of a weird question, but can I bring my kids?
There are no weird questions here. Yes, you can totally bring your kids! In fact, if they’re under the age of 12, they get in for free! And if you’re a student or member of the military, there are discounted tickets available.
What about entertainment?
*Russell Crowe voice* ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED! Just kidding, there’s so much more. We’re talking live animals, freakshows, burlesque, LED dancing, circus performers, stilt walkers, DJs, aerialists and more scheduled each day. Check out the schedule for complete details. Anything else?
Yeah, did you really use the term “flesh canvasses” earlier?
Yes sir I did and I do not regret it.
