Galantis and Hook N Sling create feel-good hit with 'Love On Me'

Australian dance music producer Hook N Sling teamed with Swedish duo Galantis for “Love On Me,” a bubbly pop single drenched in feel-good vibes. The lush video, filmed in a Thailand temple, carries the energy to the next level, with kaleidoscopic effects, neon colors, and dancing monks, as well as a sand painting of the Galantis signature Seafox.

Released at the end of September, 2016, via Big Beat Records, the new single premiered during the Galantis set at 2016’s Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas. To date, “Love On Me” has reached No. 4 on the UK Dance Chart, and No. 18 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, with more than 12.5 million viewing the video on YouTube and 4.1 million streaming the song via SoundCloud.

Galantis is a project of Swedish record producers and songwriters Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw, who released their first collaboration “Smile” in 2013. Both have successful solo careers as as well as participating with other groups. Eklöw, best known by his stage name, Style of Eye, DJs at festivals around the world and collaborated on Icona Pop's international hit, "I Love It." Karlsson, working as Bloodshy, co-wrote the Britney Spears single "Toxic," which won the Grammy for Best Dance Recording for 2004. Since teaming up, the duo have had hits with  "Runaway (U & I)" (2014),  "Gold Dust" (2015) and "No Money" (2016). Galantis debuted their live show at Coachella in April, 2014, with the critically acclaimed set #Seafoxchella, and returns to Indio in April, 2017.

Hook n Sling, the stage name of Australian producer and songwriter Anthony Maniscalco, experienced early success with his 2007 break-out track “The Bump,” which garnered an ARIA Music Awards nomination and reached No. 1 on the DMC Buzz Chart. The artist is no stranger to collaboration, producing many of his biggest hits while working with others. “Take You Higher,” a No. 1 Hype Machine hit made with fellow producer Goodwill in 2011, was followed by “Reason” in 2012, a collaboration with Aussie duo Nervo, which scored a No. 2 on Beatport and No. 4 on Hype Machine. In 2014, a remix by Swedish DJ Axwell of the Hook N Sling single "Tokyo by Night" went to No. 1 on the Beatport chart, the same year “Momentum” hit No. 1 on the DMC ADE Buzz Chart.

Maniscalco, who now lives in Los Angeles, met Galantis while remixing their hit “Gold Dust.” The idea for a collaboration followed naturally. The result, “Love On Me,” shows Hook N Sling’s danceable chops, paired with the visual and sonic richness that characterizes so many Galantis projects.

Hook N Sling is playing limited engagements across the U.S. this winter. Find a schedule on his Facebook page.
