The LA Galaxy II are encouraging fans to bring their pets along to their United Soccer League home game on Aug. 5 against Phoenix Rising FC. The evening is called "Pups at the Pitch."

All fans are allowed to bring their dogs into the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium. The dogs get into the stadium for free, while spectators are encouraged to donate to spcaLA, also known as the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles.

All fans in attendance who bring their dog will also receive a special bandana with the LA Galaxy logo and a picture of a dog paw in it. At halftime, there will be a best in show dog competition, and throughout the contest there will be a photo booth for owners to have their picture taken with their dog. For those into social media, Galaxy II fans are encouraged to take a picture of themselves and their dog and use the hashtag #PupsAtThePitch. On Friday, there will be one lucky person who will win four tickets to Saturday's game.

The Galaxy II meanwhile are coming off a big 1-0 win over Orange County SC on Wednesday. Ryo Fujii scored the game winning goal for Galaxy II in the 57th minute.  Get tickets to upcoming Galaxy II home games by clicking here.
