LA Galaxy II forward Ethan Zubak will be teaming up with the LA Galaxy Foundation for some outstanding volunteer work in the offseason. Zubak will help install an alternative solar power panel into the home of a low-income resident in the community of Carson, CA, home of the StubHub Center where the Galaxy II play.

The initiative is part of the Protect the Pitch program, which is built around the LA Galaxy and LA Galaxy II's efforts to be more environmentally friendly. The Galaxy, Galaxy II and the LA Galaxy Foundation are working closely with GRID Alternatives, a non-profit organization that brings the benefits of solar technology to low-income families.

Zubak scored four goals in 28 games in 2017. On Sept. 29, he scored the fastest goal from the start of a game in the history of the United Soccer League in a 2-1 Galaxy II loss to the Sacramento Republic FC. Zubak also scored for the Galaxy II in a 2-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on March 25, in a 2-1 loss to the Seattle Sounders FC 2 on April 15 and in a 2-1 loss to the Whitecaps FC 2 on Aug. 27.
