For 40 years, the Gang of Four has been one of the leaders of the post-punk movement.
That should tell fans just how long this movement, which followed on the heels of the punk movement, has dominated the music scene. Now, to celebrate their 40th anniversary, the four-piece band will hit the road for a world tour to not only show thanks to the people who have supported them all of these years, but also, to support an upcoming new album.
That’s right, the Gang is releasing new material for the first time in three-years. Titled Happy Now, the album promises to be nothing short of amazing, and will more than satisfy their huge fanbase with a batch of new songs that show that this band has plenty of spunk left. It will be the same spunk that has powered the band to legendary status over their four decades of glory, starting in 1977 when punk was exploding in their native England.
Happy Now should live up to its title, with everyone in the punk world happy that this legacy post-punk outfit is still raising hell in the music world. Happy Now is scheduled to be released on Feb. 1, but until then, check out the band as they rock their way around the world.
