George Thorogood and his band the Destroyers have been touring extensively more than 40 years since becoming a staple to the rock scene in the 1980s. In 2019, the band is continuing to tour with the Good To Be Bad Tour celebrating 45 years of rock.
Thorogood and the Destroyers are set to perform at the Golden Nugget Lake Charles in Lake Charles, Louisiana on April 12. The band is set to play their biggest hits including the signatures "Bad to the Bone" and "I Drink Alone." Other hits include "Who Do You Love?" and the Hank Williams cover "Move It On Over." Additionally, this is the fifth year that George Thorogood and the Destroyers are donating $1 from each ticket sold and 100% of net proceeds from the Destroyers shirt to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
In 2017 after 16 studio albums with the Destroyers, George Thorogood released his first solo album entitled Party of One which features "Pictures from Life's Other Side" also by Hank Williams. The album full of covers was largely played by Thorogood himself including guitar and slides.
Since the beginning of the band, George Thorogood and the Destroyers have sold more than 15 million albums across the globe with two of them certified Platinum by the RIAA and six Gold.
