Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard has shared a new track, “Time will Be The Healer,” to herald the release of his third solo album, Between Two Shores, due out Jan. 19. The Frames frontman, at times, puts forth a Marvin Gaye sounding vocal performance over rustling snare, bright guitar and shimmering piano. You can listen to “Time Will Be The Healer” above. If you want to catch Hansard in the States you will be afforded one chance when he comes to Brooklyn Steel in New York City for a one-off on Jan. 21, 2018. You can find tickets on AXS by clicking here.
After coming to prominence with the highly influential Irish band The Frames--who toured Australia and New Zealand with Bob Dylan in 2007--Hansard struck out on his own in 2012 with his debut solo album Rhythm and Repose. Along with being an amazing songwriter, Hansard is an accomplished actor and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song with “Falling Slowly” from the film “Once,” which he starred in as well. Hansard has also been a tireless advocate for the homeless. Don’t miss your chance to see him when he comes to Brooklyn Steel on Jan. 21.
