Hard rock heavy hitters Godsmack and Shinedown will be taking their co-headlining North American tour into the fall months, with 12 newly announced shows (and one festival appearance) now scheduled to take place starting in late September and running into October. The two well-known rock bands are set to kick off their co-headlining run later next month with an opening night at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan on July 22. The new batch of fall shows will start a few months later in Greenville, South Carolina on Sept. 21 at the city’s Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
The announcement earlier this week also came with the revealing of Kentucky’s Louder Than Life Festival 2018 lineup, which features both bands scheduled to perform on its second day, Sept. 29. Both Godsmack and Shinedown are also scheduled to appear at Sacramento’s Aftershock Festival come mid-October as well. Both bands have celebrated the arrival of new studio albums recently, with Godsmack releasing When Legends Rise back on April 27, and Shinedown releasing Attention Attention just last month on May 4, so fans should expect to hear plenty of new material along with heavy deep cuts when both bands come to town this summer and fall.
"We really believe this could be a great moment in our band's career and we plan on running on the road until at least fall of 2019," Godsmack’s Sully Erna said in a statement. "We love the guys in Shinedown and we all go way back. There is a very strong mutual respect between our camps and we feel that this tour is going to be a must see!"
Shinedown’s Brent Smith also mentioned that they’re busy preparing “a show for the fans that is powerful, passionate, and sonically inspiring … It's about to get heavy!”
Public on sale for tickets to the newly announced run of shows begins this Friday, June 8, at 10 a.m. local time, and can be found by clicking here.
