Tis the season for giving and The Goo Goo Dolls have fully embraced the spirit of the holidays.  Recently, John Rzeznik and Robby Takac visited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis where they presented the institution with a check for $22,800.  The Goo Goo Dolls raised the money by selling autographed guitars and drumheads on their 2016 "Boxes" tour, which wraps up on December 10.

The donation helps to ensure St. Jude can carry on their mission of helping families of children with cancer so that they never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.  The Goo Goo Dolls relationship with St. Jude began when they started supporting the “Music gives to St. Jude’s Kids,” a program that mobilizes the music community in the fight against childhood cancer and other life threatening diseases.  The Goo Goo Dolls’ John Rzeznik had this to say about the band’s involvement.

"Visiting St. Jude was a real eye opener.  It's amazing that so much good can be done in one place by so many good people. We are grateful to our amazing fans for their generosity and enabling us to present this money to help St. Jude."
