Following a newly announced round of summer tour dates as part of their continued Revolution Radio tour, Green Day have announced the addition of a special date at Chicago's famous Wrigley Field. Few bands have graced the baseball diamond belonging to the recent World Series winners the Chicago Cubs, and this will be Green Day's first time inside the hallowed grounds. The show will take place the evening of Aug. 24 and feature Catfish and the Bottlemen alongside the Grammy Award-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Green Day. A pre-sale for the Green Day fanclub, Idiot Nation, will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 10 am local time. The general public will  then have access to tickets beginning Friday, Jan. 20.

Green Day will spend most of 2017 continuing their tour in support of 2016's hit record Revolution Radio, which debuted on Oct. 7 in the number 1 chart position worldwide. Alongside the album's stellar ranking, it also spawned two top ten tracks for Green Day, "Still Breathing" and "Bang Bang," which made it all the way to the top of the Billboard charts. Revolution Radio has continued to sweep up outstanding critical reviews, well deserved as it shows a level of focus and maturity not previously seen by Green Day. The Wrigley Field stop of the tour is sure to be one of the most memorable shows of the 2017 summer season, if not one of the best in Green Day's long career, and is not one to be missed.
