Green Day to bring Revolution Radio tour to Hamilton

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members and Grammy Award-winning rock outfit Green Day will bring their Revolution Radio tour to Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre on Monday, March 20 at 8 p.m. Special guest Against Me! will serve as direct support.

Green Day is touring in support of their latest studio long-player, Revolution Radio, which was released in Oct. 2016 via Reprise Records. The album, anchored by the singles “Bang Bang” and “Still Breathing,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the days following its release.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Green Day’s fifth LP, Nimrod, which was released in Oct. 1997 through Reprise Records. The album, which peaked a No. 10 on the Billboard 200, spawned the acoustic hit “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” Three additional singles were released from Nimrod: “Hitchin’ a Ride,” “Redundant” and “Nice Guys Finish Last.”

Critically and commercially acclaimed punk act Against Me! is promoting their seventh full-length album, Shape Shift with Me, released in Sept. 2016 through Total Treble Music and Xtra Mile. The album, which reached No. 5 on the Independent Albums chart and No. 80 on the Billboard 200, includes two singles: “333” and “Haunting, Haunted, Haunts.”

New Wave, Against Me!'s fourth full-length album, will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. The album, produced by Butch Vig (Garbage), dropped in July 2007 through Sire Records. New Wave reached No. 57 on the Billboard 200 and spawned four singles: "White People for Peace," "Trash Unreal," "Stop!" and "New Wave."​​​​​​
