Singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov will return to Red Rocks in 2019. The Boulder-based musician will make the short trip down the Front Range to the iconic Colorado amphitheatre on Sunday, Aug. 4 with folk trio Mountain Man as special guests. Originally hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, Gregory Alan Isakov came to the United States in 1986 where the he lived with his family in Philadelphia. The singer-songwriter released his debut album, Rust Colored Stones, in 2003 and has since gone on to release six more LPs, including his latest, 2018’s Evening Machines.
A longtime Colorado resident, Gregory Alan Isakov has a special place in his heart for the Centennial State and especially Red Rocks. Evening Machines received a special “Red Rocks” vinyl pressing to coincide with Isakov’s 2018 performance at the famed venue and the troubadour also released a live album of his 2016 Red Rocks performance with the Colorado Symphony.
