Rock band Greta Van Fleet will continue their attempt at global domination into the new year, with a new batch of international tour dates announced on Wednesday morning. The band’s March of the Peaceful Army tour will begin shortly after the start of the New Year following their previously announced North American shows with a select number of gigs down in Australia and New Zealand. The tour will then head to Europe in late February and into March before returning back to North America throughout May and early June. The full schedule of newly added concerts in North America can be seen listed below.
The North American spring run will start on May 7 in Miami and takes the Zeppelin-esque rock band through the southern and eastern U.S. before ending with a show in Toronto, Cleveland and Madison, Wisconsin to close things out. The band will make notable stops throughout the spring trek including gigs at central Florida’s Orlando Amphitheater on May 10 and New York City’s historical outdoor concert mecca Forest Hills Stadium on May 25. Tickets for select shows on the newly announced tour will begin public on-sale starting this Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. local time, with the exception of the Madison show, which will begin on-sale at 12 p.m. local time.
Even with the news of their 2019 world tour on Wednesday, the band better not look too far ahead with nearly three months left of shows on their 2018 schedule. GVF are set to play Europe, the U.K. and another North American leg of shows before the year is over, giving them plenty of momentum for when their debut album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army, arrives next Friday (Oct. 19). The highlight of their remaining 2018 fall schedule could be the upcoming three-night run at New York City’s Terminal 5 on Nov. 27, 29 and 30.
For any music fan or curious onlooker looking for an excuse to see the band at some point over the next eight months, here are five reasons why you should totally see Greta Van Fleet this fall or next spring.
