Last year at his Red Rocks show, Denver-via-Detroit producer and multi-instrumentalist GRiZ debuted his live band, marking a new chapter for the future funk innovator. Now, GRiZ has announced his 2018 Red Rocks stand and like last year, his two sets will showcase different sides to the multifaceted artist.
GRiZ will hit the Red Rocks stage with a live band on Friday, July 13 before performing a solo set the following night, Saturday, July 14. Pre-sale tickets will be available on Thursday, Feb. 15 using the code GRIZRRX18; the general on sale kicks off at 10am on Friday, Feb. 16. Get your tickets to both nights of GRiZ Rocks right here on AXS.com.
The Red Rocks announcement comes during what appears to be a transitional period for GRiZ. He recently posted an interesting spoken word video to Facebook with the caption "’til next time... take care." This has triggered intense fan speculation as to his next move but regardless of its meaning, it seems to signal the beginning of a new chapter. Given that he's equally adept at throwing down a funky saxophone solo as he is dropping a meaty bass music beat, it will be interesting to see where he goes next.
