Grizzly Bear announce 'Painted Ruins' and fall tour

Five years after the release of ShieldsGrizzly Bear have finally announced what's next; they'll release their new LP Painted Ruins on August 18. Frontman Ed Droste said the album, which was recorded between Marfa, Texas and Cape Cod, Massachusetts, shows the band "feeling more adventurous with the sonic directions, changing it up a little bit."

The band has already released two cuts from Painted Ruins: the opus-like "Three Rings" and the repentant “Mourning Sound." This fall, Grizzly Bear will tour for the first time in four years, kicking things off in Europe before returning to the US for November and December dates. The tour opens with two highly-anticipated dates at NYC's Brooklyn Steel. Check out all the stops below and take a listen to "Mourning Sound" above.
