Gwen Sebastian will release her new single "Quicksand" this Friday, Oct.13. The second single from her upcoming album Once Upon A Time In The West: Act I, the song is already available for pre-order on iTunes.

"Quicksand" is the follow-up to Sebastian's previous single "Cadillac", which was released on Aug. 11. Both songs will appear on Once Upon A Time In The West: Act I, which the press release confirmed is due to arrive on Nov. 17. It will be Sebastian's first record since her 2013 self-titled release, so there is a lot to look forward to with the arrival of this new single. It's not just a new song; it's a preview of what to expect from the album and a sample of how much her sound has evolved after four years.

Co-written by Sebastian, Chris Harris and Terri Jo Box, "Quicksand" is described in the release as a song about someone that you can't seem to stay away from, and likewise, this is a single that should not be missed. Country fans will be getting to hear some long-awaited new music from this talented singer and songwriter, whose discography doesn't show how much she's accomplished. Sebastian may not have been turning out albums, but that's because she's spent large portions of the last four years on the road, both as a headliner and supporting other artists.

Sebastian was nominated for an American Country Countdown Award as the featured vocalist on Blake Shelton's single "My Eyes" in 2014 and has also toured extensively with both Shelton and Miranda Lambert. In fact, per Sebastian's website, after her new album arrives she'll be touring with Lambert on Lambert's new Livin' Like Hippies Tour. She's one of the hardest-working women in country music. But she also deserves to have her own spotlight, and with Friday's arrival of "Quicksand" plus her new album in the wings next month, it's time for her to take center stage.

"Quicksand" is available for pre-order on iTunes. Sebastian has not announced any headlining live performance dates in support of the single, but fans who want to catch her live can check out the below Miranda Lambert tour dates, with tickets for select shows available now through AXS:
