Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton to perform on Monday's The Voice

Gwen Stefani is returning to "The Voice" on Monday, Dec. 4 and will be joined by Blake Shelton for a special guest performance, NBC revealed on Thursday via press release.

Stefani and Shelton will be performing their collaboration "You Make It Feel Like Christmas" from Stefani's holiday album of the same name; you can listen to the studio version of the song by playing the video above. Their performance on "The Voice" is helping to promote Stefani's upcoming Christmas special on NBC, also called "Gwen Stefani's You Make It Feel Like Christmas," which airs on Dec. 12 and will also feature Shelton; you can find more information about the special here.

Monday will be the second time that Stefani and Shelton have sung together on "The Voice," as they performed their duet "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" from Shelton's album If I'm Honest a year ago. Stefani has also performed as a solo artist twice, and with Pharrell Williams once. But while she's been a frequent guest, it doesn't seem like she's going to return to the singing competition as a coach. Stefani left the series after "The Voice" season 12 this spring and was replaced by the returning Miley Cyrus, who will, in turn, be succeeded by Kelly Clarkson in 2018.

But it makes sense for NBC to cross-promote Stefani's Christmas special in front of "The Voice" viewers, especially since Shelton is still on the show and will also be featured in "You Make It Feel Like Christmas." The timing of Stefani's appearance is particularly great for Shelton, as it means that he will have been the musical guest in two consecutive "Voice" episodes. He was the featured performer in the show's last episode on Nov. 28, where he performed his own current single "I'll Name The Dogs." If you missed that performance, you can watch it here.

"The Voice" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. While Gwen Stefani doesn't have any upcoming tour dates while she makes her TV appearances, Blake Shelton has a tour scheduled next spring. Below are his upcoming tour dates, with tickets on sale now through AXS:
