Kids and families in New England can enjoy the Halloween events held in the historic city of Boston, MA.  Get your Halloween costumes ready and plan to attend family-friend, kid-friendly, and even pet-friendly  Halloween events during the fall of 2017.

Boston Frog Pond Pumpkin Float

The 4th Annual Pumpkin Float at Frog Pond will be a family-friendly event featuring kid-focused activities. The Spooktacular event will feature floating pumpkins, music, luminaries, crafts, treats, and more. Bring your own carved 8-inch (or smaller) pumpkin and they will illuminate it and float it in the pond with the glowing jack-o’-lanterns. Halloween costumes are encouraged for this event.

Halloween Pet Parade at Faneuil Hall

The Halloween Pet Parade will be a family-friendly event that kids of all ages can enjoy along with their pets. Dress your pet up in costume and parade around Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Prizes will be awards for Top Three in Best of Show, Best Owner & Pet Combo, Best Local, and Most Creative. Pre-registration is required.

Haunted Happenings Grand Parade

The 22nd Annual Salem Chamber of Commerce Haunted Happenings Grand Parade will be themed “Movie Monsters.” Thousands of Salem’s students, from kindergarten to college join in the fun of the pageantry of the popular parade in Salem.

Trick or Treat on the Wharf!

Kids love to dress up in their Halloween costumes for some early trick or treating with the merchants at Pickering Wharf. This shopping district is a historical landmark.

Salem Main Streets’ Howl-o-ween Parade

The 3rd Annual Howl-o-ween Parade will be fun for the entire family, including the family pet. The event will feature fun and games, along with a parade and costume contest with prizes.  The event will be free. Participants will be asked to register and note their pet’s name and verify that vaccinations are up-to-date.

Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo will be a trick-or-treat event so kids will be able to trick-or-treat among the animals. The zoo will feature creepy crafts, ghoulish games, costume contests, and a haunted maze. General zoo admission rates will apply

Peek-A-Boo Zoo Howl

Kids will enjoy trick-or-treating among the animals on the Trick-or-Treat Trail. The events will include costume contests, games, crafts, and a haunted maze. General zoo admission rates will apply.
