Hans Zimmer, The man behind the music of iconic films such as The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, made headlines back in the fall when it was announced that he’d be playing his first ever concerts in North America with three select shows around his performances at both upcoming weekends of Coachella. On Monday morning Zimmer announced 17 additional shows across North America following his European tour, starting on July 13 in Dallas, TX.

The newly announced concerts will take the famous composer and MasterClass professor through mostly major markets across the United States and Canada. According to the tour’s announcement release, the format of his show throughout the tour will be broken down into two segments. The first part of the show will feature classic scores from films including Gladiator, The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean. The second half will include “reimagined versions” pieces from films like The Dark Knight and Inception, and may also welcome some “special guests from the rock and pop world.”

General on-sale tickets will start this coming Friday, April 7. For more information on Hans Zimmer’s iconic career and tickets to select shows on his upcoming North American tour, click here.
