The legendary basketball team known as the Harlem Globetrotters will continue to travel from town to town this winter and spring with a newly announced batch of North American tour dates revealed on Monday. The run will see the team visiting cities across America and Canada both large and small starting on Jan. 12 in Columbia, SC and wrapping up on March 18, just as the NBA playoffs begin in the spring.

The team, which actually originated in Chicago back in the 1920s, have built a global following over the past 90 years thanks to their constant performance schedule each year, which has taken them to 122 countries at this point. Their American-themed uniforms to go with their mix of fun competition, theatrical style of play and wild trick shots have made them one of the most popular family-friendly sports teams in the country. While most qualified basketball players prefer the NBA over the exhibition-only Globetrotters, it's worth noting that even Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain even played for the team back in 1958 before going pro in the early days of the organized sport.

Many of the upcoming events on the team’s schedule, which can be seen below, take place twice in one day, with multiple games in both the afternoon and in the evening. While most of the events also take place in arenas and convention centers this time around, the team has been known for performing in some pretty unique locations.

Tickets for select shows on their winter and springtime schedule are on sale now or will be starting next month, and can be purchased by clicking here.
