The world-renowned Harlem Globetrotters have been wowing crowds around the world, combining elements of athleticism, comedy, traditional theater, and fundamental basketball for nearly 100 years. Hailing from the south side of Chicago, Illinois the original roster of the Globetrotters was formed in the mid-1920s. Prior to becoming known for their theatrical and comedic on-court routines the Globetrotters participated and won the World Professional Basketball Tournament in 1940. The Globetrotters even defeated one of the best white basketball organizations at the time in the Minneapolis Lakers in 1948.
Eventually, in 1968, the Globetrotters would relocate to their headquarters in Harlem and become of the most sought-after and biggest touring athletic acts of all-time throughout their prestigious history performing more than 26,000 exhibition games in 123 countries and territories. The Harlem Globetrotters still running strong to this very day, the basketball club is currently traveling on their Fan Powered World Tour with acts like Hammer Harrison, the 5'5 Primetime Maberry, and Moose Weekes as well as women roster members, TNT Lister, Hoops Green, and Torch George.
And now, with the Fan Powered World Tour going so well, the Globetrotters have announced that the collective will be adding an additional tour date to their already lengthy schedule. On June 22, the world famous Harlem Globetrotters will be hosting a one-time event at the College Park Center in Arlington, TX at 3 p.m. (Tickets). Tickets for the event can be purchased, here.
